About BlueLine Systems

My name is Matt and here is a little story about me and how BLS came about. 

I'm a married father of 3 girls.  I've worked in the coatings industry for over 30 years, with a short term as a police officer with a local PD.  (That's where "BlueLine" comes from).  I am a life long "car guy" having had numerous custom cars or trucks over the years.  My wife and I also have a non-profit ministry. I left the retail world in 2021 to work for myself which allowed my wife the freedom to build this ministry as she needed.  That's when the Avalanche went into full work truck mode!

My Avalanche is a 2002 Base.  My prior boss (I call him my surrogate grandpa), bought it brand new.  I purchased it from him in 2010 with only 38k miles.  It how has over 220k miles and still purrs like a kitten!  In my line of work, I'm always needing a ladder and I hated removing the bed covers exposing my tools to the elements.  I've also always loved the overland segment of vehicles.  I had thought many times on creating a rack for the Av, but never acted upon it until mid-2025.  What started as a need for a simple ladder rack quickly morphed into a full on overland project!

I run BLS as a side venture to my main line of work, but I am working hard to expand my offerings for the trucks and possibly even other vehicle platforms.  Looking forward to where this all will go!
